Steelwork connection specialist Access Technologies has joined forces with the industry renowned Fastrackcad Architectural Databases to help architects and engineers save design time when working with the BeamClamp range of steelworks fixings.
Construction industry professionals can now download over 150 fully scalable application drawings featuring BeamClamp fixings from www.fastrackcad.com. This information can then be incorporated at a very early stage in the project’s development cycle to speed up the design process and ensure optimum accuracy. In addition to application data, the site provides information on individual BeamClamp products to enable engineers to build their own applications, if required. Drawings are supplied in both .dwg and .dxf formats to maximise CAD system compatibility.
“This new development demonstrates our commitment to providing first class technical support” says Ian Page, General Manager at Access Technologies. “The information on the Fastrackcad website will help ease the design process, especially on those projects featuring a significant number of steelwork connections. Following the successful introduction of our BeamClamp Personal design tool, it shows precisely why we’re leading the way in steelwork fixings”.
BeamClamp fixings are specifically developed for the requirements of the modern construction industry, bringing unique benefits of easy specification and use, high safety performance and long-lasting reliability to all applications today.
As the only range of fixings on the market which are both DIBt approved and hot dip galvanised as standard, specifying BeamClamp could not be easier, whatever the project. Unlike with traditional drilled or welded joints, they allow easy adjustment and re-alignment to cope with site tolerances, reducing installation difficulty and time. The range also features BoxBolt cavity fixings designed to connect steelwork into hollow section or for use where access is only available from one side. BoxBolts are easily adjustable to suit unforeseen variations in steel thicknesses, making them especially easy to work with in contrast to other steel fixings on the market. BeamClamp fixings are also manufactured from ductile iron, typically giving a 25% improvement in tensile strength over the ordinary malleable iron used in alternative products.
Established in 1995, Access Technologies is staffed by an experienced team of construction professionals and chartered engineers, capable of dealing with any technical enquiry quickly, knowledgeably and efficiently. The company’s manufacturing and warehousing facility is located in the West Midlands area.
