RoSPA Gold Medal awarded to UK’s leading water treatment company

VWS (UK) Ltd, which incorporates Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies and ELGA Process Water, is celebrating winning one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards in 2009. The Gold Medal award was presented at a ceremony in Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel at the National Exhibition Centre last month (May-09).

The RoSPA occupational Health & Safety Awards 2009 are sponsored by NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health), the leading health and safety professional examining body.
The majority of awards are non-competitive and mark achievement which is graded at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations maintaining high standards can win gold medals, President’s Awards and Orders of Distinction.
Competitive awards go to the best entries in 21 individual industry sectors such as construction, healthcare, transport and logistics, engineering, manufacturing and education. There are special awards for workforce involvement, training, occupational health, environmental management and the management of occupational road risk. RoSPA’s top accolade is the Sir George Earle Trophy.
