New from Cameron (NYSE:CAM) is the Intelligas™ Pygas Sample Conditioner, bringing an advanced solution for demanding process analytical applications such as hot, wet or dirty process gas and pyrolysis gas, decoke headers, heavy particulate and fine carbon removal. Named for its advanced control system, the Intelligas sample conditioner features a patent pending self-cleaning separator designed with improved separation efficiency for entrained water and heavy hydrocarbons found in cracking furnace effluents and process gas streams. The system can improve measurement accuracy leading to improved yield, allowing separation and control of a sample stream within tightly controlled temperature limits. Easy field-servicing also simplifies and reduces sampling system maintenance. “This will simplify the day-to-day operation of ethylene plants and provide a significant benefit to the global ethylene processing industry,” said Mark Jiskoot, General Manager of the division’s Quality Solutions group.
