Wonderful Wonderful Copenhagen for Landia

Nearly 100 mixers designed and manufactured by Landia have completed 15 years of uninterrupted service – with no breakdowns – at The Lynetten WWTW in Copenhagen, the largest wastewater treatment plant in Denmark. Benefitting from low energy consumption and very low maintenance, 95 Landia’s POPL-I mixers serve 20 aeration tanks, each with a 7,000 m³ capacity. The originally installed Landia mixers continue to create the specified flow, as well as homogenising the activated sludge. As the aeration system consists of rotors, it has always been vital to ensure that the mixers do not just create a horizontal flow but provide a true mixing process to give an even oxygen content in the cross section of the tank. In addition to Lynetten WWTW, Landia mixers also operate at Copenhagen’s Damhusåen WWTW (Denmark’ third largest wastewater treatment works). The two plants treat a total of 75-100M m³ wastewater a year - approx. 1.1M PE.
