Europe's leading centre of excellence for food robotics and automation, CenFRA, has appointed a major figure in the food and drink industry to take over the reins as new managing director.
Ian Nicholls has been involved in the food and drink sector for almost 40 years and is a highly sought after specialist consultant, bringing with him a wealth of experience in manufacturing, engineering and project management.
His principle role at CenFRA will be to raise the company's profile by promoting its extensive project support and management services for the food and drink manufacturing sector, which include in-depth technology audits, sophisticated computer factory simulation and bespoke machine design capabilities.
As a former chief executive of Allied Bakeries and a respected member of the Institute of Management Consultancy and the Institute of Directors, Mr Nicholls' credentials speak for themselves.
His experience and expertise within the food and drink industry will be invaluable to CenFRA and his appointment will undoubtedly strengthen the company's beacon status as the leading centre of excellence for robotics and automation.
Another crucial area for Mr Nicholls will be to reinforce CenFRA's relationships with both equipment manufacturers and food and drink industry experts to further bridge the gap between suppliers and end users.
