Having opened for business at the beginning of the year, Norbar Torque Tools India Pvt Ltd had a successful inauguration of its well-appointed premises in Mumbai on Saturday 14th January, with Managing Director Neill Brodey and Norbar India General Manager Narendra Borse welcoming 60 selected guests for an enjoyable morning event rounded off with lunch. The official opening and ribbon cutting was performed by Neill and the guest of honour David Moore, UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) Head of Trade for West India representing the British Deputy High Commission in Mumbai.
With its main manufacturing site at Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK, Norbar Torque Tools is recognised as the world’s leading specialist in the design, development and production of torque tightening and measuring equipment. Norbar India becomes the latest player in a global network of Norbar companies based in Australia, China, New Zealand, Singapore and the USA.
Commenting that his grandfather had founded the Norbar family firm 70 years ago, Neill Brodey commented: “He would have been very pleased to see the progress made by Norbar through expanding its business globally. India offers very good opportunities and Norbar India will provide an improved level of technical support and service.”

Narendra Borse explained that Norbar enjoys a strong reputation for the quality of its products. “The main objectives for me and my team will be to set up an efficient and customer oriented dealer network across India and provide excellent levels of technical support and service to Indian customers.”
During the week after this event, to celebrate the official inauguration of Norbar India, the UK Company’s award winning canteen in Banbury offered delicious Indian food on its excellent menu.
