Worcestershire based Bumble Hole Foods, producers of a wide range of egg products from pasteurised egg to hard boiled eggs, recently contacted Axium Process, the filtration specialists, to provide a solution to its existing mesh filter media which was collapsing under pressure after the company’s pasteurising operations.
By selecting to use Axium Process’ stainless steel Pure-Screen filter range, Bumble Hole Foods was assured of a filter that can withstand collapse pressures of two to six times the maximum operating pressure of the filter as well as being ideally suited for final product filtration where both product smoothness and consistency is essential.
Axium’s Pure-Screen Filters are manufactured with a range of interchangeable stainless steel wedge wire filter screens from 25 micron up to 6000 micron as standard and are suitable for backflushing, CIP (clean-in-place) and SIP (steam-in-place) options.
The filters, which are available with material traceability to BS EN 10204 (3.1), can be fabricated to customer requirements and include a high capacity 6” body design, a jacketed design for product heating or cooling, duplex, triplex and stand alone designs complete with framework.
Axium Process filters are suitable for most liquid filtration applications as the company’s full range of filters includes wedge wire, sintered mesh and perforated sheet screen options providing filtration levels from 5 micron up to 6000 micron as standard.
