Flexicon Integrate Bulk Handling Systems at PPMA

Flexicon Europe will deliver the greatest insight into its comprehensive range of bulk handling equipment and systems on stand F27 at the forthcoming PPMA exhibition taking place 25-27 September 2012 at the NEC, Birmingham. Production directors and managers looking to improve in-house efficiencies in the handling and transference of powders, flakes and granules should make the Flexicon stand F27 an essential scheduled stop.
On stand F27 Flexicon will introduce a number of bulk-bag delivery systems including a combination Bulk Bag Filler with Pallet Dispenser and Powered Roller Conveyor for safe high capacity, simultaneous filling of two bulk bags. There will also be an opportunity to see the latest pneumatic gain-in-weight filling system designed to automate delivery of free-flowing bulk solids from down-stream silos or processing lines to individual bulk bags.
This renowned specialist in bulk handling will also be featuring alternate types of high-speed conveying technologies including its flexible screw and pneumatic conveyors. Flexicon’s flexible screw conveyor is able to move bulk material vertically, horizontally or to any angle – over, under or around obstructions. During operation the flexible screw self-centres as it rotates, its gentle rolling action prevents separation of the blend throughout the entire length of the conveyor. The Flexicon pneumatic conveying system comes into its own where bulk material needs to be moved over longer distances, and is capable of transporting material from single or multiple sources such as storage vessels, process equipment, trucks, etc., to multiple destinations.
As a manufacturer of conveying, bag dischargers and bag fillers incorporating load-cell weighing when required, Flexicon is able to deliver individual bulk handling equipment or build combination systems designed to a specific brief, and implement full trials on customer material at its Kent based test laboratory to demonstrate the viability of the solution.
