IChemE awards deadline extended

The 2012 IChemE awards entry deadline has been extended until 20 July. The awards are open to all, free to enter and cover all aspects of chemical and process engineering.
Now in their 19th year, the awards are highly regarded throughout the process industries for recognising and rewarding chemical engineering excellence and innovation. The best overall award entry will be presented with the Outstanding achievement in chemical and process engineering prize (sponsored by BP).
The awards cover 14 different categories including; food and drink, energy, health and safety, bioprocessing, innovative product, nuclear innovation and young chemical engineer of the year, offering a broad scope for entries.
This year’s awards will be presented at the IChemE annual dinner on 1 November at the Mercure Piccadilly hotel, Manchester, UK.
IChemE ceo David Brown says: “The IChemE awards celebrate achievements and excellence in chemical engineering. They showcase the diversity of work that’s going on within our profession and cutting-edge innovation.“
Winners from last year represented both industry and academia and include; Huntsman Pigments, Costain, Sellafield Ltd, University of Surrey, The National Nuclear Laboratory, Queens University Belfast and Hertel.
