Festo, the leading international supplier of automation equipment, has launched the Festo Support Community, a new online technical forum which gives customers quick and easy access to its experts, as well as enabling them to interact with each other, to find the best solutions to their automation and machine building problems. As an innovative global company, Festo is constantly looking for initiatives to help its customers and this easy-to-use forum is an effective way to interact with them, and provide better support. After a simple registration process, customers can post technical questions online and respond to other users’ queries to share best practice (existing topics, posts and replies can be viewed without registering). The forum enables visitors to have conversations with Festo’s technical specialists and each other. Members can explain issues, ask questions and get a quick response. The forum is split into six searchable topic areas and covers subjects such as pneumatics, electrical drives, sensors and vision and directives and standards, so customers can discuss and find answers to their everyday automation issue. “More and more people are going online to seek answers to their problems,” says Matt Rayment, Technical Hotline Manager at Festo. “We have developed this new forum to make it as easy as possible for our customers to quickly access and identify the best solutions for their technical queries. Our technical experts are on hand to have live discussions and give a fast response to all queries, and we expect the forum to become an invaluable information resource for our customers.” For more information and to see the video about the forum visit www.festo.co.uk/fsc.
