Norgren, an international market leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies, will showcase highly innovative solutions designed to deliver Engineering Advantage for the global rail sector on stand 203 in Hall 10.2 at Innotrans 2014, to be held at Messe Berlin, Germany, from 23-26 September.

Making their exhibition debut will be a new range of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG) control solutions capable of withstanding operating pressures of up to 1,000 bar. Available in sizes up to 4” (100mm), they can operate effectively at any temperature between -250°C and 150°C.

With extensive experience in dual fuel supply and conditioning for dual fuel (natural gas/ diesel) locomotive engines and LNG control on natural gas tenders for locomotives, Norgren can provide customised manifold solutions for a full range of applications.

Also on display will be inlet throttle technology which helps to reduce emissions and optimise engine performance, harnessing technology already widely used in the commercial vehicle sector, and the acclaimed Maxseal solenoid valves which are now available in the rail sector for the first time.

Visitors can discover more about Norgren’s extensive range of proven solutions for the sector such as pressure sensing valves, pantograph control valves, manifolds, actuators, fittings and tubing, as well as the recently launched Adsorbent Media Tube (AMT) driers which maximise water removal from compressed air systems and are in use in high-profile mass transit systems in North America, Europe and south-east Asia.

Mark Wrigley, Global Sector Head – Rail at Norgren, explained: “Our offering for the global rail sector continues to develop in terms of both the size of the range and the ability of our products to perform effectively in ever more demanding operating conditions. Technology proven in challenging environments in other sectors is increasingly being made available to rail customers and we anticipate strong interest from both new and existing customers at Innotrans 2014.”
