Capula systems secure amidst global cyber attack
26 May 2017
Capula, an Imtech company, has been able to reassure its customers that its network has remained clean and free from the WannaCry ransomware attack that infected more than 200,000 computer systems globally. Capula’s solutions facilitate the secure control and monitoring of critical infrastructure operating in the UK, and security is factored into their design from the outset.
Capula engineers are equipped to address vulnerabilities before they become major crises, having achieved the Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certificate.
“At Capula, digital hygiene is taken very seriously and we foster a secure digital culture, taking many preventative measures to maintain a clean environment”, said Capula’s Managing Director, Mark Hardy.
As an additional step in the Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy, it recently opened the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), an extension of GCHQ. Ciaran Martin, CEO of the NCSC said, “UK businesses must treat cyber security as a top priority if they want to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the UK’s vibrant digital economy.”
