Roxspur Measurement & Control are the largest UK manufacturer of industrial thermocouples and temperature probes, sold under the Brearley brand. Based in Sheffield, the business originally developed with the steel industry in the early 1900s, and was founded by Harry Brearley, the inventor of stainless steel.

The Brearley range now includes industrial thermocouples, mineral insulated and rare earth thermocouples and assemblies, Pt100/RTD sensors and non-contact pyrometers, covering temperature ranges from -200 to +3000C.
Today, Brearley temperature sensors are supplied across all industries: with a wealth of experience our technical help desk can provide solutions using custom or standard designs. Specialised sensor designs have been developed for glass and ceramic manufacture, heat treatment and moulding control, food processing and brewing. Brearley engineers probably have a standard product available for most known industries and applications. A fast track manufacture, calibration and delivery service is available for urgent requirements. The Roxspur factory based calibration laboratories are UKAS accredited for temperature calibrations up to 2200C, and can offer fast and efficient maintenance, repair and recalibration services on all temperature products.
Brearley also offer a complete on-site service to supply, configure, install and commission temperature sensors, plus associated process controllers, displays, chart recorders and data loggers. This on-site service is supported in the UK from 3 regional technical centres, and offers mobile UKAS accredited engineers for regular on-site calibration validation and certification of temperature sensors.
