04/06/2013 - Aker Solutions to perform world's first tests for capture of CO2 from cement industry Aker Solutions has won a contract to test and study the capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) from flue gas emitted by the cement industry. The award from Norcem, in cooperation with the European Cement Research Academy (ECRA) marks the first time technology to capture CO2 is used at a cement production plant.
28/05/2013 - Industry award to Aker Solutions' MPO unit Aker Solutions' subsidiary Managed Pressure Operations yesterday won a prize for its riser safety system at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston.
The Aker Solutions unit won the Woelfel Best Mechanical Engineering Achievement Award for its Riser Safety System (RSS).
