Kennametal conducts tool drive for training center of orphanage

Kennametal Inc. has announced that employees from Kennametal EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) participated in a tool drive for the training center of the orphanage "Nice View" in Kenya during the months of September and October.Hand tools and accessories of all kind have been collected, which are used in the training center for carpenters. Altogether, 110 kg of tools and accessories as well as 192 Euro monetary donations have been collected and donated to the association Schwarz-Weiß e.V..
Marcel Dürr, treasurer for Schwarz-Weiß e.V. was very pleased with this result: "We are very happy about this initiative. The tools are very useful for us in Nice View, as the materials are not very long-living here due to the high air humidity". Schwarz-Weiß e.V. is a children aid project that supports Africa's orphans. The overall concept is to provide them with everything they need, from being a small baby up until independence including medical care and a profound training.
