3M TO SHOWCASE SAFETY SOLUTIONS AT HEALTH & SAFETY NORTH

Diversified technology company 3M will be offering visitors to the Health & Safety North event at the Bolton Arena on 9-10 October 2013 a 'behind the scenes' look at the different areas of its 'safety solutions' service.From advice and guidance on personal protective equipment (PPE) specification, to collaboration in selection and use of the most appropriate equipment and support in training and knowledge-sharing, 3M prides itself on providing added value services as well as a broad product portfolio.
The stand (64) will be split into key areas where visitors can speak with a 3M technical specialist about their specific needs and find out more about the range of service tools available, from product selectors and training programmes, to interactive webinars, seminars and technical bulletins.
Technical engineers Alan McArthur and Nikita Shah of the 3M Personal Safety Division will also be delivering seminars at the event. The first, on Wednesday 9 October at 10.35am will focus on 'The Science of Fit - Designing PPE for People and Assessing its Validity', which will look at evaluating the interaction between people and PPE products and ways to improve design, fit and productivity. PPE compatibility, specifically 'Is Your Personal Protective Equipment Working Well Together?' is the subject of the second seminar on Thursday 10 October at 10.35am, looking at the challenges faced when multiple items of PPE are worn.
Alan explains: "These seminars will provide invaluable information and guidance on key industry issues. In harmony with our approach to our stand this year, these seminars delve deeper than simple product selection and provide real food for thought about effective workforce protection."
Visitors to the stand can get up close and personal with specially selected products from the diverse range of 3M PPE and will be amongst the first to sample the new SecureFit Protective Eyewear and the award-winning Peltor X Ear Defenders by 3M.
There will also be a special show offer for anyone who visits the 3M stand and goes on to book 3M Fit Testing or Fit Test workshops.
