9th IPTC PROMISES STRONG SPEAKER LINE-UP AND TECHNICAL PROGRAMME

Top global oil and gas industry executives and technical experts are confirmed to speak at the 9th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) later this year.The 9th IPTC, to be held at the state-of-the-art Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha from 7 to 9 December 2015, is expected to draw 5,000 delegates from over 70 countries. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit more than 70 exhibitors, hear from senior speakers and attend a variety of networking events. The IPTC Excellence in Project Integration Award will also be presented on the evening of 6 December, at a ceremony and dinner to be held at the prestigious St. Regis Hotel in Doha.
This edition of IPTC will be hosted by Qatar Petroleum, co-hosted by Shell and take place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, The Emir of the State of Qatar.
Under the theme 'Technology and Partnerships for a Sustainable Energy Future', this year's IPTC will include two CEO Plenary Sessions and five Panel Sessions, addressing the most significant trends, challenges and opportunities facing the industry today and in the future. Among the CEOs and industry leaders taking part in these sessions will be:

These high-level sessions make up just one part of the nine-stream conference. The combined strengths of IPTC's four sponsoring societies, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), will ensure a balanced technical programme covering geoscience, integrated geoscience and reservoir engineering, drilling and completions, reservoir, production and operations, engineering, projects and facilities, field development, mid-stream gas, and over-arching industry issues. 1,300 papers were submitted for this year's event, of which 350 will be presented over 62 technical sessions.
