ARC ENERGY COMPLETES LATEST DEVELOPMENT PHASE

Weld overlay cladding and fabrication specialist Arc Energy Resources has completed the latest phase of a planned development programme, allowing managing director Alan Robinson to take on the role of company welding engineer. The review has also resulted in a second welding engineer, a new sales team, a strengthened production team, a £500,000 investment in two new Rotating Head welding machines and a patent application for an innovative new pipe manipulation system.Explaining the significance of the changes Alan Robinson says: "We needed to address a number of issues to enable the company to maintain its strong history of growth. The two Rotating Head welding machines have increased our productivity and extended the size and scope of work the company can handle, and the pipe manipulation system was designed in-house to increase the efficiency and quality of the corrosion resistant coating services we provide."
Commenting on his own role, he says the development programme has resulted in an improved management system and he is delighted that this has allowed him to take on the position of senior welding engineer.
He adds that: "Arc Energy Resources is a welding engineering company, so I believe this is the most effective and productive contribution I can make."
Alan Robinson is perfectly qualified for the role. He is one of very few UK registered European Welding Engineers and also has a Masters degree in welding, is a Chartered Engineer, a European Engineer and a senior member of the Welding Institute.
A second welding engineer will help to ensure that Arc Energy remains one of the few welding specialists that can boast accreditation to the ISO 3834-2 welding quality standard, conformance to ISO 14731, Welding Coordination, and has the capability to support its clients with highly qualified and experienced welding staff.
