AUMA actuates principal oil artery

Reporting to Transpetrol, the operator of the Slovakian section of the Družba oil pipeline, AUMA has supplied actuators to the Bučany and Šahy stations.

Carrying oil over 2,500 miles from the Eastern region of European Russia to locations including the Ukraine, Poland, Hungary and Germany, the Družba is the principal
trans-European artery for transportation of Russian and Kazakh oil across Europe. It is one of the world's biggest oil pipeline networks.

Transpetrol was supported by AUMA's local Slovakian agent ELSO-b who supplied 90 electric actuators to replace existing valve control products. The actuation solution supplied was AUMA's latest generation, explosion proof SAEx actuators which are designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions.

Advantages reported by AUMA of the actuation technology provided include ease of installation / operation and advanced diagnostics.
