Automation expert to exhibit at Scanautomatic

Novotek to demonstrate the value of digitalisation at Swedish fair ~

Industrial IT and automation expert Novotek AB will be attending the bi-annual automation and process engineering exhibition, Scanautomatic. Exhibiting from stand B02:31 on October 9-11, 2018 at the Swedish Exhibition Centre in Gothenburg, Novotek representatives will demonstrate to visitors the value of integrating high-performance HMI and reporting systems into plant operations.

A report from Capgemini has found that only six per cent of manufacturers consider themselves as 'digital masters'. The term refers to businesses with sufficient understanding of industrial technology, that are in the advanced stages of digitalizing their production processes. To remain competitive in today's global market, business leaders need to be prepared to embrace modern technologies like Web HMI to optimise their existing processes.

Novotek offers a wide portfolio of digital solutions including Web HMI. The model-based software can be integrated across multiple data sources, giving operators access to data from any device at any time. Compatible with IFIX, CIMPLICITY and Historian from GE Digital, the software aims to improve situational awareness and assist operators in speeding-up their responses and performance.

Scanautomatic visitors will also be able to learn about Novotek's latest automation technology for effective reporting. Specifically created for those working in process and production environments, Novotek Report Plus can collate standard and custom web reports for any type of SQL database, such as a manufacturing execution system (MES) or laboratory information management system (LIMS).

"Governments are under pressure to ensure their countries are progressing toward advanced stages of digitalization and enforcing initiatives like Produktion 2030 to outline ways of creating competitive production through this medium," explained HÃ¥kan Bostrand, technical manager at Novotek AB. "While many businesses are believed to be lacking the experience in-house to integrate innovative technologies, Novotek offers software that is specifically industrial focussed.

"Businesses looking to set the foundations and embark on their digital industrial journey can integrate tools like Web HMI. Web HMI allows operators to connect the company's assets and create a digital mimic of a process, network or piece of equipment and give the user the ability to quickly and easily visualise and extract any key information.

"Tools like Web HMI give operators greater confidence to make informed decisions. It can also reduce errors and the chances of downtime as a result, because operators and managers will have a clearer understanding and awareness about the existing process."

Exhibitors at Scanautomatic compete for the Scanautomatic prize, which is awarded to the stand sharing the most innovative products and developments. Novotek has won the prize at the last two events and will be looking to compete for a third win with its cloud based 'system of systems' solution.

Visitors can find out more about Novotek's offerings, including its 'system of systems' solution, by visiting the company's representatives at stand B02.31 on October 9-11, 2018 or by calling Novotek AB on 031 339 47 81.
