3M extends H&S webinars into 2013 with new topicsThe popularity of the health and safety webinar series led by 3M has encouraged the diversified technology company to extend its Safety Spotlight webinar programme into 2013. The series will revisit a number of key topics and include several new subjects addressing issues that concern health and safety managers.
3M introduced its Safety Spotlight series in 2011 and demand from customers across a wide range of industries has led to the webinars becoming a firm fixture of the 3M Safety Solutions calendar. The webinars are designed to offer practical advice on the identification of hazards and selection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the workplace and are hosted by specialists from 3M who lead discussion and offer guidance. The webinars are free to join and participants are able to revisit previous subjects as well as take part in the new topics.
Adele Wills of the 3M Safety Solutions Division says: "By offering the Safety Spotlight webinars we can share knowledge and expertise on a wide variety of workplace issues, hazards and training methods. They have proved very popular with health and safety managers, not least because they represent a cost and time-effective way of keeping up-to-date and extending knowledge on key safety issues. The webinars are a valuable way of taking a training resource into individual workplaces rather than managers having to take time out of busy work schedules to attend external seminars for essential professional development."
The 2013 webinar programme is:
20 February Validation of PPE (new topic for 2013)
21 March Chemical Protection (new topic for 2013)
23 April Demystifying powered and supplied air
22 May Designing PPE for people and assessing its validity
