BCAS announces new Vice President

The British Compressed Air Society (BCAS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Morgan as its new Vice President.Tony Wilson, of Parker Hannifin, had been undertaking this role, but with his forthcoming retirement at the end of August this year, the position had become vacant. Jason has therefore agreed to take on this important function within the BCAS board.
Jason, who has been Managing Director of HPC plc since 2013, will be taking up the role for the next few months, working with the BCAS board for the remainder of James Maziak's current term as President. In November, Jason will then transition to the role of BCAS President when James steps down at the BCAS ball in November.
Jason joined the BCAS board in 2016 and during that time, has been instrumental in setting up the new committee structure to ensure that members are receiving best value. By providing the right information, at the right time, BCAS's goal is to help its members improve and foster positive relationships with their valued customers.
Commenting on his new role, Jason said:
"I'm proud to have been appointed to the role of Vice President and to have greater opportunity to work with my board colleagues and the wider BCAS network - to help shape the organisation to deliver best value for both our members and their customers. Key to this is that we deliver on our promise to be an independent source of information, advice and technical expertise for the vacuum and pressure industry. I'm hoping to be able to extend this further and build on the great work already undertaken by James and the team by introducing other collective benefits, that add value for all our members and their customers.
"During my tenure, Brexit may well come in to effect and we need to be prepared for the challenges that this will present. We can also expect increasing pressure to drive down energy costs and improve environmental performance, particularly around the use of plastics. While there's no doubt these will be hurdles to overcome, I believe there will also bring new opportunity and look forward to working with all of you to help shape our industry for the future."
James Maziak, BCAS President added:
"We send a very warm welcome to Jason in his new role. I'm looking forward to supporting Jason and to us both working together during the remainder of my term as President and then as Immediate Past President, to ensure we deliver best value for members. We must also take this opportunity to recognise the excellent contribution made by Tony during his tenure as Vice President and thank him for his strategic direction and governance.
