BEKO STORY

Since 2003 BEKO TECHNOLOGIES have nearly trebled sales in the UK. Many companies operating in the competitive compressed air industry had a serious blip around the recession of 2009/2010. BEKO did not take a single backward or level point on the sales chart, just steady continuous progress.

Steve Riley BEKO's general manager says "There are no magic wands in this business. We are not selling glamorous products which people want to own for themselves such as the latest tablet or the high powered cabriolet. We are selling equipment to manage compressed air and condensate quality. One thing that we aim to achieve is to be true to our mission statement and really go the extra mile to serve customers. We are regularly told that we are "easy to deal with" and that is music to my ears. We achieve this status by having high standards of customer service, knowledgeable people, both inside and on the road. We are the UK sales company of a German manufacturing company so we benefit from their quality and accuracy and add a bit of Britishness by being flexible and quick to respond to requests. When most of our competitors were de-stocking and de-manning we were looking to provide better customer service by going the other way and having more stock and sales people and this has paid off".

The transition has been from a BEKO known for condensate management products to a solutions company who have recently supplied a number of household names with large compressed air dryers, catalytic converters and devices to measure the KPI's of compressed air including remaining oil vapour content.

Chris Norris, BEKO's service manager is confident that 2012 will see growth above what the economy will add. "We have a group of people in BEKO with a massive amount of experience in the compressed air business and we have first class products. I expect strong growth to come from our 'Big Air' business which is the EVERDRY desiccant dryers, large refrigeration dryers and measuring systems. Our EVERDRY product is top quality and the team in Neuss will tailor a product to the customer's exact requirements".

BEKO TECHNOLOGIES have come a long way in the last 8 years and are now considered a force in the downstream compressed air treatment area.
