Bohlins Maskiner presents Altra brake solutions at ELMIA Automation 2016, 10th-13th May

Leading brands from Altra Industrial Motion will be represented at this year's ELMIA Automation trade fair by its distributor Bohlins Maskiner. Twiflex Ltd., Matrix International and Warner Electric are each respected brands in their own right, offering innovative solutions for the automation industry. Matrix International has over 30 years' experience in designing and manufacturing spring-applied, electromagnetic brakes for leading servomotor manufacturers. Its 1EB range is particularly suited, offering high torque (up to 500 Nm) in extremely small envelopes. The spring applied brakes benefit from an efficient magnet design which reduces power consumption and heat generation. The low backlash unit is ideal for applications that require precision holding and the brakes are designed for quick external mounting, simplifying the process of retro-fitting them to existing machinery.
Warner Electric will be demonstrating its X-Small brake range, the smallest range of spring-set holding brakes on the market. Having recognised the growing market for small brake solutions within the Automation industry, Warner developed the electrically released, spring-set holding brakes which offer the same performance capabilities of similarly sized permanent magnet solutions. Having been through vigorous testing, Warner Electric is confident that the range is lighter, offers the same static torque capacity and is more cost competitive than traditional brakes of a similar size.
