BPMA 2020 Golf Day – the results

In a year that has seen so many events cancelled, the BPMA is delighted to have been able to go ahead with its annual Golf Day. Originally scheduled for its usual May slot, the new date of 10th September was secured when it became evident that the initial round of COVID restrictions would make it impossible to retain the Spring dateline.

Now in its 20th Year, this event has been a regular fixture in the BPMA calendar, attracting keen golfers and novices alike.  The day provides members with an opportunity to engage with customers, and to network and socialise in a relaxed professional environment, at a premier golf venue.

This year’s event was held at Belton Woods in Grantham, where the immaculate condition of the challenging Lakes Course, was suitably matched by glorious golfing weather.  This combined to produce some great golf, and the chance for colleagues and associates to safely meet-up, away from their PC’s and laptops.

BPMA CEO, Steve Schofield said: “It was pleasing to see that even in a pandemic our members were still keen to support this event, fielding 47 players across 12 teams. The support and engagement of our four sponsors – ABB, Flowserve, Stuart Turner and WEG - is also hugely appreciated.”

The golf was followed in the evening by a superb and socially distanced 3-course dinner, a short video featuring the action and mishaps from the day, and of course the eagerly anticipated prize giving ceremony.

A full video of the event, filmed and edited by Ashman Media, is now available to view on the BPMA website.
