BPMA CE Marking Guidance - a must for all pump manufacturers, distributors and set builders

Non-compliant pumping equipment remains a major problem in the UK market, where CE marking is compulsory. However, the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) is keen to ensure that all assembled equipment, with liquid pumps associated within the build, are placed on the market and put into service correctly in the UK.All companies that build pumping equipment, such as booster sets, pressurisation units, rainwater harvesting tanks, sewage stations or bespoke equipment and who sell products in the UK or to the European market must be able to demonstrate that the products meet applicable EU requirements, are correctly CE marked and are placed on the market with the correct Declaration of Conformity.
Concerned that many companies still do not meet these obligations under current legislation, the BPMA has configured a training course that addresses this key issue. This course seeks to provide the information and skills required to understand Self Cert CE Marking Essentials and enable compliance with a range of Directives, Regulations and EN Standards. It will also cover other related product certification and documentation issues.
Sadly, many manufacturers do not fully understand their legal obligations and as such are currently breaking the law in the UK. The information presented by the BPMA enables the required compliance to be understood and achieved.
The Course will be held at the BPMA offices in West Bromwich on Tuesday 16th July and will run from 10:30-16:00. Crucially, attendance is open to both BPMA Members and Non-Members.
