British Safety Council welcomes the HSE Health and Work Strategy that starts an industry-wide conversation about health in the workplace

The British Safety Council welcomes the new HSE strategy focused on health and its importance in the workplace, which was launched yesterday by Penny Mordaunt, Minister of State for Disabled People, Work and Health.The safety charity, which has been campaigning for healthier and safer workplaces for the last 60 years, hopes that the HSE Health and Work Strategy will provide leadership and focus for the industry on this important issue. The new HSE strategy, which is linked to the Helping Great Britain Work Well strategy launched a few months ago, is focused on reducing work-related stress, lung diseases and musculoskeletal disorders.
Louise Ward, Policy, Standards and Communications Director at the British Safety Council, said: "We look forward to working with HSE and its partner organisations on implementing this very important strategy, which has the potential to make a real difference in the world of work."
