The Engineering Industries Association are offering UK companies the opportunity to build their export business outside the EU by participating at the leading manufacturing events in the ASEAN.The Grand Metalex, Asian's largest International Machine Tool and Metalworking Technologies Trade Exhibition and Conference will take place from 23 - 26 November 2016 at BITEC, in Bangkok, Thailand.
Companies then have the opportunity to go on to Manufacturing Indonesia series of events which include manufacturing, machinery, equipment, Materials and services, Tools and Hardware, Machine Tools and Industrial Automation and Logistics in Jakarta, Indonesia from 30th November - 3rd December 2016.
With over 600 million people, ASEAN's potential market is larger than the European Union or North America. ASEAN is one of the most open economic regions in the world, with total merchandise exports of over $1.2 trillion - nearly 54% of total ASEAN GDP and 7% of global exports. Member states currently comprises of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia and Brunei.
ASEAN's physical infrastructure is critical to the ASEAN Economic Community's goal of establishing a single market and production base. Cross-border roads, power lines, railways and maritime development all need to be satisfied and will help propel the community forward. This in turn will boost existing and new value chains or production networks worldwide.
The Engineering Industries Association have been leading UK SME engineering companies to these events for many years and are organising UK Pavilions at both of these shows which can this year be attended successively (or individually).
