Chemical Business Association recognised again with prestigious awards

The Chemical Business Association (CBA) is pleased to announce it has been recognised for a second year in succession by peers at the 2024 Trade Association Forum (TAF) Awards, winning both the Best Association Transformation and Skills Development awards.
The CBA, which is the Voice of the chemical supply chain, was also shortlisted for the Member Engagement Award and Marketing Campaign of the Year awards, alongside CEO Tim Doggett having been shortlisted for the outstanding leadership award.
Held at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London on 22nd February, the TAF Awards recognise dedication, innovation, and best practice amongst trade associations across every sector in the UK, also outstanding contributions made in delivering for members. The Awards are supported by the Department of Business and Trade (DBT).
The CBA was a proud sponsor of the Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) initiative award, which celebrates contribution to the environment, society, and the development of responsible business of trade associations, and was won by the National Bed Federation.
Tim Doggett, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the CBA said: “It is fantastic to be recognised for the second year running by such a prestigious industry-wide body. We continued with our journey of innovation and development in what was our centenary year. I would like to thank the growing CBA team for their commitment and devotion to our Association, our members, and the chemical supply chain.”
Richard Gilkes, Managing Director of Stort Group and Chair of the CBA said: “I am thrilled by the recognition the Association and the team are garnering, it is very well deserved. The team continues to do exceptional work and I am very proud to be a part of an Association that is leading the way for its members, the chemical supply chain, and the chemical industry as a whole.”
Emily Wallace, head judge on the panel, commented on the CBA’s “clear growth and strong cultural change”, as well as their “real ambition for developing new services and support for the broader sector, including through their new people and skills hub.”
The CBA will continue its work as the voice of the entire chemical supply chain, championing the sector and the wider chemical industry both here in the UK and globally.
