CI Logistics wins £2m contract from Clipper Logistics Group

Leicester based materials handling specialist, CI Logistics, has been awarded a prestigious contract by Clipper Logistics Group.The contract, which is worth over £2m, is to supply a garment handling and processing solution for Clipper's new portcentric super-centre in Wynyard near Teesport. The centre, which represents a £40m investment by Clipper, is scheduled to be open by August 2012.
CI Logistics has already established a proven track record for providing automatic handling and storage systems specifically designed for the garment industry. This bespoke solution for Clipper consists of garment racking, an overhead monorail transportation system and telescopic booms for unloading cartons from containers.
