CIRCOR Pipeline Engineering Announces Successful Installation of U-Stamp Large ROC Closure

CIRCOR accomplished fast delivery of closure to customer thanks to globally integrated company scope
CIRCOR International, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of differentiated technology products and sub-systems, announces that CIRCOR Pipeline Engineering LLC supplied a Houston customer with a 48” ASME U-Stamp large ROC closure for a 48” gas filter vessel.
In January 2021, CIRCOR Pipeline Engineering LLC in Houston Texas was approached by a new customer to produce and deliver a 48” ASME U-Stamp large ROC closure for a 48” gas filter vessel, which they needed in 10 weeks at their facility for welding to the filter vessel.
The order would be placed on Pipeline Engineering LLC, Houston but would be built and delivered from Pipeline Engineering Catterick UK, this would be a faster delivery than any subsequent order for a ROC of this size. The challenge was to build, test, ship and deliver in 10 weeks.
Pipeline Engineering Catterick UK delivered the closure on time, by utilizing the new large VTC (Vertical Turning Center) installed in Catterick in 2020 to significantly reduce manufacturing lead time and thereby meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Following the delivery, Pipeline Engineering LLC was able to provide the customer support with installation and welding from the Pipeline Engineering Houston facility demonstrating the value of working with a globally integrated company, this makes Pipeline Engineering an easy company to do business with.
The filter vessel was built for an end user who recently placed PE Houston on their approved vendor list and the Pipeline Engineering ROC was requested specifically for this project.
The closure has been equipped with the New CIRCORSmart tag for traceability, document access and easy customer assistance when it goes into operation.
