ifm electronic introduces vibration transmitter in stainless steel housingIdeal for keeping an eye on things, the new VT stainless-steel vibration transmitter from leading manufacturer ifm electronic Ltd monitors plant and machinery according to ISO 10816.
The sensor measures the true rms velocity of non-rotating component surfaces, then transmits these values directly to the PLC as an analogue signal (4...20 mA).
The unit is quick and easy to install. No extra parameter setting software is required, and to make life even easier, the VT is a two-wire loop-powered device.
With its robust design, high IP Rating as well as the maximum ambient temperature of 105 °C the sensor is suitable for use in harsh environments.
Connection to the outside world is via an industry-standard M12 connector, with mating connectors in matching IP versions available from ifm.
