CSI: Dispersion – Detective work in process engineering

On 7 October, the German mixing and dispersion technology specialist ystral is offering the exciting online seminar “CSI: Dispersion – Detective work in process engineering”. In this second part of the “CSI: Dispersion” seminar series, Dr. Hans-Joachim Jacob, Senior Expert Process and Applications at ystral, will identify and analyse unexpected failures and mistakes in process technology. Sometimes, when investigating the causes, we have to go deep into detail, as if we were detectives working on a criminal case.
In this case, however, the victims are not people, but destroyed dispersions, broken emulsions and mixtures that have been totally ruined. The first part of the “CSI: Dispersion” seminar series was about “stolen” viscosities. The viscosity that was still present in the morning disappeared in the afternoon. The reasons for this were always very different in the various cases.
The new, second part is about mixtures that became completely unusable due to a sudden shock. It's about cleaning agents that suddenly lost their beautiful light blue color. It's about paints that are sometimes clear and sometimes cloudy and much more.
In this free, practice-oriented seminar, Dr. Jacob will review many case studies and systematically identify and analyse failures in the production process.
