With the new CMU DC current measuring unit, Phoenix Contact offers a clearly understandable and compact solution for current monitoring. Existing systems can be extended easily to include practical energy and utilisation monitoring due to their bridgeability.

The CMU DC current monitoring unit detects system loads and provides early warning of a failure. This is visualised directly by the optical display on the device or via remote signalling. With a width of just 8 mm, the current measuring unit not only saves space in the control cabinet, but is also ready for use in no time at all due to its intuitive operation and clever bridgeability with the Clipline complete terminal block range. The CMU DC relies on clear, visual signals: An LED display on the front shows the actual load status, while an additional warning message alerts you when defined threshold values are reached. As an alternative to exceeding the threshold value, the current monitoring unit transmits the actual current value for trend analyses or simple energy evaluations in 0.1 A steps via remote signalling. This enables the remote monitoring of capacity utilisation and maximum transparency.

With its narrow width, the CMU DC is the perfect slimline solution for tight installation situations. The current measuring unit can be integrated quickly due to its direct bridgeability with the Clipline complete terminal block range. This significantly reduces wiring effort. The threshold value is set without additional software via rotary switches on the side.
