Danfoss EC+ solution proves to be the best in test

Comparison tests have been conducted at the independent Institut für Luft und Kältetechnik in Dresden (ILK). These tests are comparing total fan system efficiency for the following systems:-€¢ Danfoss EC + solution with the FC 102 frequency converter, Lafert PM IE4 motor and Nicotra Gebhardt plug fan
-€¢ EC motor/fan solution from EBM Päpstin
-€¢ Danfoss FC 102 frequency converter with VEM IE3 motor and Nicotra Gebhardt plug fan
-€¢ Danfoss FC 102 frequency converter with Siemens IE2 motor and Nicotra Gebhardt plug fan
The tests concluded that the EC+ solution from Danfoss has a 7% higher system efficiency than the EC motor solution from EBM Papst; EC+ has 10% less losses. The tests also showed that the EC motor solution from EBM Papst is between the Danfoss IE2 and the Danfoss IE3 solutions measured on Fan System Efficiency. In summary, the report proves that the Danfoss EC+ solution is superior over EC motors when it comes to Fan System Energy Efficiency.
