Quality control is a key priority at James Walker Keaflex and with this in mind the company has opened a new dedicated quality control laboratory. The temperature controlled room has been equipped with a variety of quality control instruments for non-contact dimensional measurement, thickness measurement, rheometry, tensile testing and part identification.
A new inkjet marking machine can print identification codes on any surface, and helps ensure full traceability throughout the factory.
The restricted access room has improved lighting levels and houses a quality control document archive stored in fireproof cabinets. Further investments in quality control equipment are planned.
"The new facility enables us to identify and resolve any quality issues quickly and efficiently," said James Walker Keaflex's managing director Andy Tuffield.
Based in Hampshire, James Walker Keaflex specialises in custom elastomer engineering and provides a comprehensive service for the design and manufacture of elastomer components, including complex 3D mouldings.
