Direct access to the entire lab via tablet

Nuremberg, Germany. Simatic IT R&D Suite is immediately available for use in both R&D(research and development) and quality management via web access on a tablet in real time. The Siemens Industry Automation Division designed this "no clutter" approach in the shape of a one-page application concept to replace extensive menus with double clicks and multiple screens. The screen only displays logical options and associated background information related to the user's current activity.The mobile platform deploys all the assets of modern tablets in a simple user interface. The software footprint on the device is negligible as only a browser is required, e.g. IE10, Firefox, Chrome or Safari. The application supports both Oracle and Microsoft SQL servers.
Simatic IT R&D Suite includes and combines components, modules and libraries that cover functionality for R&D(research and development) and quality, such as LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), specification management, formula & recipe management, supplier management, regulatory data management, and project data management.

- Lab Automation in Eindhoven, Netherlands,
on April 9, 2013
- Forum Labo in Paris, France,
from June 4 to 7, 2013.
