Double-acting metering pump from SPX's Bran+Luebbe brand reduces footprint and maintenance costs

Bran+Luebbe with 75 years of oil and gas pumping experience is one of several highly experienced brands within the SPX group exhibiting at ADIPEC. Highlighted at SPX's exhibit will be the NOVADOS series metering pump whose innovative double-acting diaphragm head delivers increased pumping performance and +/-0.5% metering accuracy with an 18% smaller footprint and over 20% lower weight compared with conventional single acting pumps.Designed for use with a wide range of fluids including methanol, liquid carbon-dioxide, liquid ammonia, hydrocarbons, LPG, toluene and water with flow rates from as low as 100 ml/hr (0.025 gal/hr) up to 22600 l/hr (6000 gal/hr) and pressures up to 1000 bar (15,000 psi), the NOVADOS metering pump is ideally suited for a wide range of applications in the oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries.
A key benefit of the NOVADOS pump design is that it helps prevent the diaphragm from being damaged under emergency conditions such as a blocked pipe or closed valves upstream or downstream of the pump. This is achieved by a patented positive diaphragm position control system (PDPC) which also features no obstructions in the pumping chamber making the pump suitable even for the metering of slurries and higher viscosity fluids. This virtually leak-proof design, hermetically sealed with two diaphragm layers is the right choice whenever product purity or sterility are imperative or when toxic liquids must be handled.
