Dubai contract with Dexion Integrated Systems for CI Logistics

2012 is turning out to be a memorable year for Leicester based CI Logistics. The company has chalked up another major contract win, this time with Dexion Integrated Systems in Dubai, U.A.E.

The valuable contract is to supply a garment handling and transportation solution. This will be installed into Dexion's four tier garment storage system for a large warehouse and distribution centre in Dubai which is operated by a third party logistics company.

In total CI Logistics will be supplying 12 kilometres of overhead monorail (Tectrac®) - an advanced manual transport system using trolleys which facilitates the rapid movement of garments. A further 1.5 kilometres of powered overhead conveyor will be installed to transfer the garments up and down the multi-level installation and around the perimeter for long distance transportation.

In the garment processing area a Slictrac™ rail system will be used to provide individual shop sortation rails. This will enable the fast throughput of garments to the packing areas.

Installation of the project has already begun and it is due for completion in August.
