The British Safety Council has launched an e-learning version of the IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management course, a nationally recognised qualification that provides managers with the knowledge and skills to improve their organisation's environmental management and sustainability performance.Consisting of 10 online study modules, the e-learning course teaches delegates how to identify and assess their organisation's key environmental risks and implement measures to ensure improved environmental processes and performance. Candidates who pass the required online examination are awarded Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (AIEMA) - widely regarded as the minimum standard for those wishing to work as environmental practitioners.
John Phillips, director of products and services at the British Safety Council, said: "The IEMA Associate Certificate e-learning course equips delegates with the knowledge to ensure their organisation is complying with environmental legislation and to measure, improve and monitor business environmental performance and sustainability practices.
"By implementing these measures, organisations can avoid the financial costs and reputational damage of environmental failures and prosecutions and win new business by enhancing their sustainability credentials."
He added: "E-learning is an increasingly popular way to study for vocational qualifications, since the employee does not have to take time away from work at set times to attend classroom training, and can instead study via the internet at a time that suits both them and their employer."
Pricing
The IEMA Associate Certificate e-learning course costs £635 + VAT, including the examination and IEMA membership fees.
