Easy installation with igus energy chains - Cost effective and quick to set up

Fitting cables into energy chains can be a laborious, time consuming and costly process. As a solution, cable carrier specialist igus UK has developed the easy chain range, an easy-to-fill and cost-effective alternative to standard cable carrier systems.

easy chain has exactly the same advantages as all igus energy chains: it is dirt and dust, corrosion and wear resistant, providing a long service life. The key benefit of the easy chain is that it has a quick press-in cable feature integrated within the cross bars. This allows the cables to be inserted into the e-chain easily with a simple press of a thumb. In addition, the crossbars have an overlapping feature which creates secure housing of the cable.

easy chain is produced in the igus polymer material igumid NB which is strong and flexible. It has a maximum tensile strength of up to 120 MPa and can withstand maximum temperatures of 170ºC. The design features and material properties of the easy chain make it very versatile and suitable for a wide range of industrial sectors, including packaging machines, general machinery, office equipment and electronic apparatus.

An "ESD" electrically conductive version of easy chain is also available, which is based on GC PTB-certified material and has been designed for applications where any electrostatic discharges are potentially damaging. Easy chain is available from stock and can be delivered in 24 hours, or the same day in some instances.
