EEF appoints new Chief Strategy and Corporate Development officer.

EEF, the manufacturers' organisation has appointed a new director to head its modernisation programme.

Mark Bernard (pictured), a former Group Marketing Director of BM Polyco, joins the business group in May and will lead the organisation's long-term growth programme and membership development activity.

He will co-ordinate EEF's strategic marketing activity and oversee the introduction of new technologies to support services and member engagement.

Mr Bernard played a leading role in transforming BM Polyco's business model. He has also held senior commercial marketing roles with Polaroid, Casio, LG and Stanley Black & Decker. He joins EEF in May.

Terry Scuoler, Chief Executive of EEF, said: "Mark brings considerable experience of business transformation and his strategic marketing pedigree will support our modernisation programme and digital investments to better support member companies and grow and strengthen our business services."
