Electro Rent Europe expansion prompts move to new offices

Electro Rent has announced that the continuing expansion of its European operation has resulted in its relocation to new, larger facilities in Mechelen, Belgium.

Electro Rent Corporation, the world's largest test equipment rental and leasing company, established its European operation in 2005. Since then the company has seen continuous growth in its European business with the resulting need for more office, workshop and warehouse space.

As part of the relocation, the company has also increased its investment in test equipment with which to service the European market. The company now holds over 350m euro of test equipment assets in stock allowing, in many cases, next day delivery to customers requiring quick turnaround.

David Saeys, General Manager for Electro Rent Europe commented, "When we first opened the European operation in 2005 we announced an ambitious expansion plan. We are well ahead of this plan, which is why we are increasing the number of our employees and expanding our office facilities."

Saeys added, "The rental/leasing of test equipment is becoming increasingly popular with our European customers, especially when there is a drive to minimise capital in favour of operational expenditure. Options such as rent to purchase give our customers the flexibility to use their opex budget to acquire and ultimately own their test equipment resources. As the world's largest test equipment rental company we can deliver from stock throughout Europe, which means that our customers get the equipment they need when they need it."

This is the company's second office move since 2005.
