Elscint Vision Inspection System for Small Battery Parts

Elscint Automation, the leading vibratory parts feeder manufacturer from India recently completed a project for a dry cell battery parts supplier wherein a dry cell battery part having diameter of dia 10 mm, was required to be fed with the pointed side up. Thereafter, the part was to be conveyed on a belt conveyor for vision inspection.Elscint supplied a complete system to the customer including air jet system to throw out the defective parts. The customer had to just mount his vision camera and program the software. He had to provide a 24V DC signal to throw out the defective parts. The rest of the system was designed and completed by Elscint.
A very high speed vibratory parts feeder was used for this purpose. Elscint fabricated a special outer track bowl whereby a speed of 1000 parts per minute was achieved with the required orientation.
