Engineers comment on appointment of Greg Clark as Minister for Science and Universities

Stephen Tetlow MBE, Chief Executive of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, said in response to the appointment of Greg Clark as Minister for Science and Universities:"I'd like to congratulate Greg Clark MP on his appointment as the new Minister for Science and Universities and hope he will continue the valuable work of David Willetts MP in promoting science and engineering.
"Ensuring we have enough people studying and working in these key sectors lies at the very heart of a healthy, strong and modern economy and we look forward to working with Greg Clark to help meet the huge challenge that lies ahead.
"We need to double the number of engineering graduates and apprentices the UK produces and it is vital that Government, industry and academia work together to make this happen."
