Expansion to South America

OPEN MIND, a leading developer of CAD/CAM software and postprocessors, continues its global expansion with the establishment of a subsidiary in São Paulo. This is also the first OPEN MIND location in South America. The CAM/CAD manufacturer wants to use Brazil's São Paulo Metropolitan Region, the largest industrial centre in South America, to begin the process of opening up new markets and providing existing hyperMILL® users with direct support.

"The new subsidiary allows us to provide better support and advice to local customers while taking national circumstances into account," says Volker Nesenhöner, CEO at OPEN MIND Technologies AG. "We believe Brazil is a very promising market, not just for hyperMILL®, but also for hyperCAD®-S, our newly-developed CAD solution."

Optimised production strategies
"More and more companies in Brazil's growing metal processing, tool manufacturing and mould manufacturing industries are looking for opportunities to further increase quality and efficiency. Our CAM solutions make it possible to optimise processes and leverage the full potential of machines while operating in a secure and tool-friendly manner," says Bruno Watanabe, General Manager at OPEN MIND Tecnologia Brasil LTDA. "I'm looking forward to shortening our domestic company's path from the initial design concept to the final component." Bruno Watanabe and Application Engineer Caetano Barbosa started operating the subsidiary, which is the fast track to expansion.
