EXPORT BOOST FOR THERMASET

Export orders from Norway and Spain have boosted business for Tamworth based Thermaset Limited, one of the UK's best known companies for the formulation and manufacture of powder coatings.

Hot on the heels of an announcement of plans to invest three quarters of a million pounds in plant and production machinery next year (2015) and a doubling of production capacity, the overseas orders are a timely boost to the Staffordshire company.

Traditionally, powder coating has not been regarded as a prime export-oriented market, but Thermaset's success in supplying powder for projects in Spain (Madrid) and Norway indicate the company's intentions of moving more actively into export markets.

Thermaset's commercial manager, Nigel Crane (pictured) said:" We were delighted to supply these two important orders and intend to look for more opportunities to share our knowledge, expertise and products overseas and, in the process, expand our customer base.

"We will be marking 30 years in business in 2015 and what better way to start our celebrations than with export success. We are known in the UK powder coating sector for our stability and reliability and for having one of the biggest ranges of stock powders," explained Mr. Crane.

Thermaset supplies many well known brands such as Next, Tesco, Footlocker, M&S directly and through a network of approved trade coaters. Customers include automotive manufacturers, architects, furniture and household goods, garden equipment suppliers, sports equipment and many more. The company also offers a bespoke colour matching service.
