29 September - 1st October, 2015
NEC, Birmingham
At this year's PPMA show, Festo, the innovation leader in pneumatic and electric drive technology will be showcasing a number of its exciting new developments, concepts and solutions for the food and beverage sector. Visitors to the stand, E90, hall 5, will be able to discuss how they can increase productivity in different ways by considering efficiency, simplicity, security and accessing Festo's key competencies.
Highlights in the 'Efficiency' zone are examples of new software for the extremely fast design and specification of handling systems - ideal for end of line packaging applications, and a unique energy efficiency air preparation unit that can reduce losses from equipment on stand-by and diagnoses leaks.
Key focuses in the 'Simplicity' area will include easy to use electric drives - delivered as a package complete with axis, motor, cables and drive. Even the set-up is web-based with a simple download making the system easy to configure, order and commission.
Examples of complete solutions include cabinet and handling systems that can provide users with complete 'Security' and peace of mind that their system will provide guaranteed performance at a fixed price.
In the 'Competency' zone, new products include a highly robust IP69k rated valve terminal; the MPA-C co-developed with leading filling customers to ensure it meets the demanding hygienic and aggressive washdown environments such as those typically found in the dairy industry.
Festo Training & Consulting is also sponsoring the show's 'The Ones to Watch' awards. The awards identify the engineers of tomorrow in the processing and packing industry, and celebrate promising young professionals who have already made an impression and have an exciting future ahead of them.
Festo invests more than 7% of its annual turnover into R&D as well as working with a wide range of external research and educational establishments and actively participating in collaborative projects.
