Moxa has been studying the recent trends in factory automation and adapted their communications solutions accordingly. Their products build a high-performance Ethernet infrastructure on management level. On control level, Ethernet switches enable flexible, scalable network aggregation, and Ethernet gateways enable the extended use of legacy fieldbus devices. Remote I/O solutions enable remote management and control, and industrial Secure Routers cover all the requirements of secure communication. In the field, multiple products solve the miscellaneous tasks on site. These include embedded computers, video network components, wireless devices and devices for serial communication.

MGate 5105-EIP: 1-Port Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP to EtherNet/IP Gateway
Moxa�'s MGate 5105-MB-EIP is an industrial Ethernet gateway for Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP and EtherNet/IP network communication. To integrate existing Modbus devices onto an EtherNet/IP network, use the MGate 5105-MB-EIP as a Modbus master or slave to collect data and exchange data with EtherNet/IP devices. The latest exchange data will be stored in the gateway as well. The gateway converts stored Modbus data into EtherNet/IP packets so the EtherNet/IP scanner can control or monitor Modbus devices (MGate supports both EtherNet/IP adapter and scanner). It is effortlessly configured via web or Windows utility and provides complete packet analysis and diagnosis information for maintenance. The gateway enables easy I/O data maintenance via web interface, it has a microSD card for configuration and system log backup, and it is available as wide operating temperature model for -40 to 75°C. The gateway�'s Modbus port has 2 kV built-in isolation protection, and it comes with built-in Ethernet cascading for easy wiring. It also supports Moxa's MXview industrial network management software via the MXview Plug-in.
EDS-405A/408A-EIP: 5- and 8-Port Managed Ethernet Switches with EtherNet/IP
The EDS-405A/408A-EIP are 5 and 8-port managed Ethernet switches with EtherNet/IP enabled. With Ethernet/IP embedded, the EIP switches are visible with custom faceplate in FactoryTalk® View industrial management software, for greater operational and network visibility in factory automation HMIs. The EDS-405A/408A-EIP also support a variety of useful management functions, such as IGMP snooping, GMRP, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, GVRP, QoS, port mirroring, SNMP, RMON, bandwidth management, DHCP Option 82, and warning by email or relay. With the help of Command Line Interface (CLI) the main management functions can be configured, and the switches support EtherNet/IP and Modbus/TCP protocols for device management and monitoring. EtherNet/IP EDS (Electronic Data Sheet) file, custom AOI (Add-On Instructions) and FactoryTalk® View faceplate are available. In addition to RSTP/STP for network redundancy, the switches support Moxa�'s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (recovery time < 20 ms @ 250 switches). The switches are IPv6 certified, and they can be configured and visualized with Moxa�'s network management software MXview.
