Fluorescence measurements from environmental monitoring to the life sciences - Presentation at Photonex Conference

Dr John Attridge, Chelsea's Technical Director, is delighted to present at the Biophotonics Meeting during the Photonex Conference & Exhibition on 17th October 2013 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. His presentation is entitled: "Fluorescence measurements from environmental monitoring to the life sciences".This year Chelsea Technologies Group celebrates 50 years in the design and manufacture of a range of fluorescence sensors which have found applications in the marine, environmental, defence, maritime & OEM life sciences markets. These innovative multi-parameter sensors are available to monitor the physical, optical & biological properties of oceanographic and freshwater environments. Parameters include temperature, conductivity, depth, turbidity, transmission, fluorescence & bioluminescence. "We have also used fluorescence techniques in a range of point of care instruments and automated laboratory analysis systems developed for biomedical and diagnostic applications as part of our OEM contracts," said Dr Attridge.
Dr John Attridge, Chelsea's Technical Director will also be available on Stand No. G32 where he will be displaying a range of water quality monitoring sensors which all use fluorescence as a measuring technique. These sensors are designed with the following applications in mind - bathing water monitoring, Polluted surface water overflow monitoring, Grey water / sewage misconnection detection, Effluent monitoring, Chlorophyll & algae class studies, Hydrocarbon detection and CDOM monitoring just to name a few.
